ARROWHEAD is a rare Alden “Explorer” Class (design 699E), there apparently having been only 5 ever built, and Arrowhead is apparently the lone survivor.
27th Annual Grand Lake Mahogany & Chrome Classic Boat Festival
The Annual Grand Lake Mahogany & Chrome Classic Boat Festival is held by the Heartland Classics Chapter of ACBS. Traditionally, this show is held early in September on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees in NE Oklahoma. This event is the only judged boat show within Heartland Classics Chapter. Each year home port is at Arrowhead Yacht Club & Marina in Afton, Oklahoma.
NIPMUC CANOE
After building a kayak for himself, and one for his son, Geoff Meissner's wife wanted him to build a canoe for her. He picked a Nipmuc kit from Newfound Woodworking. At 17' long and 35" beam, it was big enough to hold all three of them and the dog.
