Jay Benford has a lifetime of experience in the creation of custom yachts. Since 1962, he has been earning his way in the narrow and difficult field of custom yacht design. His distinctive approach to classic styling and highly practical accommodations are testimony to his problem solving skills.


Jay has designed boats for many uses--tugs, fishing boats, cruising sailboats, liveaboards, trawlers and freighter yachts. They’ve all been successful and beautiful, incorporating the space and function Jay's clients desire, in a unique and lovely form.
