Plans and plywood bought in 2000, then life got in the way. Retirement in 2018 removed all excuses and slow progress began in 2019. The covid lockdown provided the dedicated time needed for completion.
At age 79, Lloyd Worthington is still turning out boats. THE CELT is a Iain Oughtred Fulmar design, 16'8" x 5'10", that Lloyd built using cold-molded methods. He used hoop pine Australian marine plywood over red Meranti frames and stringers, then covered the hull with Bote-Cote marine epoxy.

Launched my Skunk Island Skiff sailing version built from plywood and pine. Douglas fir mast, spars and oats. Stainless steel fasteners and hardware.
Everyone seems to love this little boat. Building one of Iain Oughtred’s designs has been a real pleasure — his plans are superb and to my eye at least are a work of art on their own. She performs really well, just out paddling, fishing or taking on some easy rivers.
Jonathan White of Victoria, Australia built this Acorn dinghy in just five months. It is made of 6mm marine plywood and hoop pine with five coasts of varnish all around, and another five coats inside for good measure.
