Kevin Brown needed a shallow-draft, v-bottomed boat for fishing the marshy coast of Georgia, so he designed and build LIL WOODY. At 15 feet long, LIL WOODY is powered by a 55-hp outboard, and can run up to 28mph.
MARILYN D has a 26' hull of intact cold-molded spruce. She was originally called IMPULSE and owned by Cabot Lyman, who used it as a commuter boat for 10 years, and was the original 'Jet' boat out of Lyman Morse. Mike Perlis and Lyman Morse restored her over the winter of 2001-2002.
Wyn Menafee of Palmer, Alaska, and Roger Burleigh of Anchorage, Alaska, each built a Penobscot 17 from Arch Davis Designs.

Alan Powell uses this 9' skiff for fishing and exploring the Berowra Waters on the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney, Australia. She is a Karl Stambaugh "Weekend Skiff 3" design that appears in the book Good Skiffs.

She needed to be nesting to be taken out of the basement where she was built.
After forty years of building skiffs and dories, first, under the tutelage of the old timer, Fred Tarbox, at Lowell’s Boat Shop and later as Parker River Boat Works, this will be my first published launching.
John Campbell of Belton, Texas built a Charlotte canoe from plans created by Tom Hill, then he made some modifications. John’s canoe now has an inboard motor borrowed from his weed trimmer. The trimmer drives a 5″×6″ 5-blade propeller and can be removed when John’s lawn gets shaggy.
Built on Deer Isle in 1942 , it has an 800 pound steel keel, 4 foot draft.
