Philip Bolduc spent less than $1000 in the construciton of this Sailfish look-alike. Chosen for its simplicity, he used stitch-and-glue construction with pieces of 1/4" plywood.

I recently completed the construction of my own Matunuck surf kayak. Last Sunday I tried it in the local swimming pool and it really feels good, and it was surprisingly easy to roll (Greenland roll)!
This 1922 17' Old Town canoe was restored by Dave Millikan of Inverness, FL. It is Model HW, Grade CS, Serial No. 67358, and had been delivered to Abraham and Strauss back in 1922. Dave found it in storage in the Adirondacks in 2001.
Lucas Pharmer, son of Andrew Pharmer, is seen here standing beside LOUIE DA' BOY, a 15'8" x 33" Iain Oughtred McGregor Canoe. Andrew and Lucas built the boat according to the methods described in Ultralight Boatbuilding by Thomas J.
John Beck built this Chesapeake Light Craft Shearwater 17 hybrid using white and red cedar strips for the hull and decking, and added aniline dye to the hull to give it a blue color. John won the best in show at the 2007 Okoume Fest sponsored by CLC.
Relaunched after nearly 30 years. The boat has been refinished, the engine has been thoroughly serviced and a fuel pump added. What a sweet little boat, they just don't build them like this anymore. The hull is molded birch and as sound as new.
Using lines taken from an 1880s Adirondack Canoe at the Antique Boat Museum, volunteers Chuck Cripe and Seb Borrello built little SUSAN NIPPER, under direction from curator John Summers, as an ongoing live demonstration for museum visitors. Thought she is under 8' long, she will hold an adult.
Owner Nigel Vaughan had an old Eventide that was becoming unreparable, and couldn’t find another boat that suited his needs. He wanted to introduce a separate heads that could be accomodated by adding a foot to overall length an taking off a foot of the cabin seats.
Completed Chester Yawl, from plans at Chesapeake Light Craft. This is a working boat, intended for rowing by one or two on lake Erie. It has a work boat finish. The gravel beaches on this part of Lake Erie are very hard on the finish.
Steve and Jamie Reed of Greeley, Colorado, built this cute little rocking boat with no metal fasteners, just glue and dowels. They used teak, purple heart, poplar, pine, ash, and oak. Some tiny Reed captain should be overjoyed with their first command.
Built 2019-2021, 1,300 hours. Sailed just seven times.
