Bezier 12.5

The design objective of the “Bezier 12.5” was to achieve the beauty and style of a classic day sailor using aluminum as the construction material. This curvy true round hull was designed using the latest computer technology and built using Bezier Curve Chine Construction. It’s unique building procedure enables the average tradesperson to easily construct this true round metal hull. Every part of the hull is pre-engineered to fit seamless together. There are over 40 sheets of Architectural drawings and full size patterns supplied with this design. Nothing is left to chance!

The hull and framing are constructed of Aluminum. The decks are painted canvass covered marine plywood. Seating, moldings, and floorboards are solid lumber. An aluminum mast and boom with stainless steel rigging are specified.

From it’s classic Sheer Line to the below the design waterline the hull is true round. The hull surface below the design waterline is a standard developable surface. A hollow NACA Foil full keel will hold the required ballast. An outboard rudder is both keel and transom hung. This boat would be a good candidate for an electric drive.

This design provides stability by way of a ballasted keel. Flotation is provided by watertight compartments under the fore deck and lazerette. Flotation can also be placed under the floorboards.
