Category: Sailboats Cruising
The Mar Casado class was designed to produce a practical small cruising auxiliary having satisfactory accommodation for two people below decks, plus large cockpit suitable for afternoon sailing and in which two additional people can sleep under an awning. Construction was kept simple by means of a flush deck, with a transom stern and outboard rudder. The lines was derived from the very successful Temperance, of somewhat larger dimensions but retained the same fine sailing qualities with respect to speed undersail and sea-going ability.
