Pulsar 50
With outstanding performance, a cruising-racing trimaran provides a fabulous sailing program:
Besides the possibility of racing, speed extends her range and distant cruise grounds may be reached during our too short holidays.
Pulsar 50 benefits from the latest racing developments with long buoyant floats, which have their own rudder for safety and power in strong winds. The deep carbon daggerboard insures good windward ability.
Helped by a rotating carbon mast, the rig is extremely efficient yet easy to handle with a minimum number of sails.
The jib is on an in-and-out furler. The masthead gennaker on furler is tacked on the box. The heavy-weather staysail can be rolled.
Construction avoids exotic materials and is done under vacuum in foam-sandwich on a male plug with post-cured epoxy.
Carbon beams are glassed on the same plug.
This complies with Multi50 regulations.
Pulsar 50 may be customised for her exact program and budget:
The accommodation of the Pulsar 50cr benefits from the side bulges which give a lot of volume in the saloon, galley and quarter berths. Owner cabin with bathroom forward and guest cabin aft.
The cockpit is well protected with a sheltered watch position.
The powerful engine is situated amidships under the cabin sole. A central rudder helps harbour handling.
She already cruised around the world with a crew of two.
Pulsar 50 racing is built to the limits of the Multi50 class that tries to control the budget with some limits on materials, rig and accommodation. She already has a nice racing record.
