Saraband, a delightful double ended cruiser was built in 1960 at the Hodgdon Yard. The curve down from bow to keel has distinctive S&S shape to it, making for gentle entry and steady sailing. It is a lovely and dependable boat for modest mariners. The design feature most noticeable on this compact yacht is the little after cabin with single bunk and seat and the portside bunk amidships, which allow sleeping space for two guests in addition to spacious accommodation in the main cabin for the owner. Her stem, keel, deadwod and frames were white oak. Decks are canvas on plywood and trim mahogany.
