Vik 180

Vik 180 is an ultra-modern approach to the program of entertaining 8 guests in the best of comfort with a high average speed. Her length is not used to pile on many cabins but to give space, privacy, beauty and comfortable motion.

Above average seakindliness was obtained with wide beam and powerful ends for stability, adequate bridge-deck clearance to avoid slamming, streamlined superstructures and rounded deck edges to minimise windage.

She easily takes the ground on her trouble-free low-aspect keels, which protect her hulls, rudders and propellers and are faired into the hulls curve of area for a minimum drag.

Long waterline length and semi-circle sections provide good cruising speed, easy tacking and pitch damping. The rig is simple with a non-rotating aluminium mast. Her heavy weather staysail facilitates sail handling.

Her set of plans is optimised for one-off construction. The accommodation layout is obviously tailor-made to the owner's specifications with a choice from 3 to 6 double cabins, the galley conveniently placed on the bridge-deck or separated in one hull and a huge panoramic saloon.

Her clean deck plan is much appreciated for efficient sail handling, to sunbath in the trampoline or to dine in the huge cockpit. The central wheel steering is conveniant with its double seat.

The dinghy is partly recessed under the aft beam. Many lockers stow all the equipments for charter work.
