![]() Long Lake LONG LAKE is a handsome, fast day boat for two paddlers on lakes, bays, and sounds. She also takes a sliding seat for one rower on open water. Her hull is built from one, 5' x 10' sheet of 4 mm marine ply and her deck from one 3mm, 4' x 8' sheet or two doorskins. Her 'midship section is similar to Aleut kayaks with a fuller form than earlier tortured plywood boats like the DK-13 or Pokemoke. Materials cost under $400 and time expended about 120 hours. She weighs only 48 pounds and cartops.
