This is how you upload your listing and jpegs, etc.. Please note that this Directory is for plans and kits of boats of ANY MATERIALS.
You will be requested to register prior to posting. Please spend a few moments to review the posting parameters (to cut down on technical requests). All postings are subject to our approval, and you must indicate your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions before you enter your details. We will NEVER abuse your identity by using it for purposes other than service upgrades and routine maintenance notifications.
1. To begin, go to www.woodenboat.com/boatplansandkits
2. Click on the icons, or go below to set up your account. You will only need to do this one time, regardless of how many plans and kits you will be posting. http://www.woodenboat.com/boatplansandkits/members/user_account_add.php
3. Once your registration is complete and you have received and activated your confirmation by email, login and click (on the left) “Add a Listing.”
4. The first window to come up is “Create a New Plans and Kits Listing.” Click on the “Lifetime” account, and “Submit.
5. Select your “Primary Category” and then “Submit.”
6. Now you can enter details about your listing(s). Add all your descriptive text there, including the specific url of the boat you are featuring in this listing. At the bottom, at “Logo,” please enter a sailplan or profile here. Press “Submit” at the bottom. Now it is time to add your images....
7. Once you submit a listing you will be taken to a window that shows your listing(s). On the right side of each listing are icons that will enable you to add large images to your listing. You will also be able to view your listing, edit your listing, add a document to your listing such as a PDF, and the last icon will show you that listings statistics.
PLEASE NOTE: To upload lines drawings -- You will get best results if they are NOT bitmap. Instead, make them RGB jpgs. Continuous tone images will resize and show details better than black and white bitmaps. Images that are uploaded will look best if the longest demension is at least 540 pixels.
You may go back and edit your listings at any time. And you may keep adding as many listings as you wish.
