A true classic in excellent condition. FAIRWYN is a keel/centerboard yawl, designed by Sparkman and Stephens in New York and built with the finest materials under the supervision of Rod Stephens at the yard of James McGruer and Co. in Clynder, Scotland in 1957. The double-planked hull on white oak frames make her exceptionally strong and the classic design makes her comfortable at sea. Her impeccably maintained varnished spruce spars add to her grace and beauty. Her first owner raced FAIRWYN extensively from Newport to Bermuda, from Marblehead to Halifax, eventually winning Nova Scotia’s most prestigious trophy, the Prince of Wales Cup which was presented to the crew by H.M. Queen Elizabeth in 1959. In her entire 58-year history, FAIRWYN has had only two owners. Her present owners have owned her since 1982 and cruised her extensively in the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Mediterranean. Fully equipped for cruising, FAIRWYN is presently in her homeport of Vancouver, British Columbia and can be viewed there. Racing or cruising she turns heads wherever she goes. Price: $140,500.
