Watch out for Greg Henzel and his two young daughters rowing around in A-K SUNSHINE on Puget Sound near their home in Gig Harbor, Washington. A-K SUNSHINE, named by the girls, is Phil Bolger/Dynamite Payson Cartopper design, which is found in Dynamite's book Instant Boatbuilding with Dynamite Payson. Greg spent about 18 months building the boat, "at a leisurely pace." She has 1/4" AC exterior plyood covered with fiberglass and epoxy on the hull. Greg adn his daughgters will row A-K SUNSHINE for fishing and crabbing trips, and for just messing around. Dynamite's book is available at The WoodenBoat Store, www.woodenboatstore.com.

Great job Greg, looks fantastic. It is so good to get the kids involved and out on the water. We that live near the water are so lucky. I am amazed at how many small boat designs there are and with the web one can spend hours looking.
But when you read books like John Gardner ( Building Classic Small Craft) you realize that not much is new just modification and new ways to build with modern materials. Thanks for the story. Baz
