Built by owner to specifications A Chesapeake Marine Design 16’ x 6’ wide. 650 lbs 140’ sail area with tanbark sails Draft is 1’. Cabin with sliding hatch with lift sleeps 2. Centerboard below cabin floor strip planked hull fiberglassed with epoxy inside out.
Over the winter of 2025-26, Andrew Green from Pewaukee, Wisconsin built his third Wee Lassie cedar strip-built canoe which is 11” 6” long and 27” beam. It is based original blueprints purchased from Mac MaCathey many years ago. She was launched in May 2026 at Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
Caledonia Yawl 19’-6” overall, 17' on waterline, 6' beam, 2' draft. Built in 2000 from Iain Oughtred’s plan by Geoff Kerr of Two Daughters Boatworks. New paint 2023 by Safe Harbor Yacht Yard Eliot, Maine. Unstayed lug main sail/mast and sprit/boomkin mizzen.
Lots work completed in 2010. New decks and frames, along with new ribs aft of mid-ship. Re-powered with a 3.7L,180 HP Mercruiser. She is in need of cosmetic work, frames and hull below the waterline. Otherwise she is serviceable. Comes on a trailer. Great project!
