FLYING EAGLE was launched by Vinal Beal on the Moosabec Reach of Beals Island, Maine, in 1963. Vinal designed and built all such lobsterboats during winter when not lobstering, by means of a half-model (no plans).

The Friendship Sloop BLACKJACK

BLACKJACK, a 33′ Friendship sloop built in 1900 by Wilbur Morse, sails in her home waters of Rockland, Maine. She was extensively restored by professionals and volunteers at the Sail, Power & Steam Museum, which is her new home.

Eagle River Antique and Classic Boat Show

You are invited to take part in the 8th Annual Eagle River event for owners of antique and classic transportation for land, air or water. Boats, cars, horse drawn, cycles, float planes, snowmobiles and more!

Wild Eagle Lodge on Duck and Lynx lakes, part of the famous Eagle River chain of 28 lakes will be the site for the show.  Special activities  include a parade, swaps, judging, trophies, refreshments and Friday exhibitors Tour of the Chain of Lakes. There is also ample free parking, free storage for trailers, and assisted launching at the Wild Eagle Lodge.
