Falmouth Classics Regatta and Classic Parade

-

Falmouth Classics steps up one more gear for 2014 as the camaraderie of the best Classic Boat Rallies comes to Falmouth. Building on the success of the expansion to a three day event, Falmouth Classics have now been able to bring the competitors together in one area in close proximity to the Sea Shanty Festival.

Thanks to the sponsorship of National Ventilation and Airtech and the cooperation of Falmouth Harbour Commissioners berthing will be free for competitors. This puts Falmouth in the top league with other major Classic Regattas on both sides of the Channel. It gives an added incentive for boat owners to include Falmouth in their summer programmes.

Free berthing and mooring will be available for visiting yachtsmen. Competitors will be berthed together at the Visitors Yacht Haven with larger boats moored close by. Click on “Boats – Berthing and Mooring” for further information.

Entry to the Regatta and Rally will also be free. Competitors wishing to race, or attend the Classics Dinner will have to pay a small fee, but entry in the Parade, attendance at the Sea Shanty Festival and the Reception will be free.

We welcome all boats up to 60ft LOD that are classic yachts, dinghies or rowing boats of traditional construction, built before 1965, or after 1965 but built in the classic spirit to a pre-1965 design – and to larger boats by agreement with the organizers. We also welcome classic motor launches and any other classics hulls, powered by what ever means they were designed for, to our Parade of Sail and Shoreside functions.
