Short clip of Acacia bowing to Neptune as she gives Shawn and I a brisk run out of Boothbay Harbor, Maine. We averaged 5 to 7 knots on a SW breeze 15 gusting to 25. One tack out and one back.Has summer finally arrived?

Nice video. I saw you heading out! Nice day for it, too.
Any word on your new jib yet?

No word on our sails yet. We still had a reef tied in from our sail the previous week, towing our dingy!! Tried to sneak out of the harbor, but can't get by your watchful eye.

I would have kept that reef in, too. It was pretty gusty by the end of the day, and I believe your boat sails best when she doesn't heel much.
You weren't alone with your reef! http://www.woodenboat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99922&highlight=voat+porn

Actually I would have liked to put another reef in the main, but I was having too much fun. coming back in to the harbor the gusts were healthy, a second reef would have been welcome but we were headed to our mooring. It was quite brisk even in the inner harbor. As we got back to our mooring I watched Bay Lady struggling to get under way,as she motored over my mooring pennant, but stopped and reversed just in time. We were congested down there with LazyJack, hove to taking her sails down, got it sorted out!

No way. Every one that's had that job has given it up out of frustration. Right now there's discontent brewing over municipal or state mooring regulations (not sure which) that I'd not want to get in the job of administering.
