Thanks for all your positive comments in the vacuum bagging thread. I am posting separately to avoid hijacking . My updated albumn is web page (http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290272927) . The design is Mark Smaalders' Kahuna. I have just finished laying xynole-epoxy on the hull, and am now begining the outer keel and deadwood. The hull is cedar strip with 2 layers of diagonal cedar veneer. I planed the strips down to the level of the crown of the inner keel, and filled and faired the gaps with fiber/silica thickened epoxy. Happy to answer any questions I can. I am still more of a learner than a teacher, though. Thanks to all who have helped me get this far. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid102/p092e159f755df42c2504e04fb7f3a973/f9c5cbaa.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid102/p725db63c195ed2357ca374d08c3f60f3/f9c6d083.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid102/p806b73c6e6bc3498fa71cc703428ea5c/f9c6d0ce.jpg

Must be real gloomy outside when you took the pix's, their so dark it's hard to tell stuff.

I want to see some more pix's of your office/shop. HeHe

Is it under the house in the side of a hill?

man,

The previous poster must not have gone to your image station album. That is an awesome shop. That is also an awesome project. That photo sequence of the strip planking and veneering processes really drives home how much work is involved in building a large cold molded boat.

Looks great, keep us updated.
