Ruff cut with skill saw and finish with patern bit & streight edge:

C/W cover on thumb turns; pretty good match considering it's from further down the sheet.

Ah yes, I have used gobs of HM to make patterns. Works great, if you use dots you can even pop them apart and re-use the bigger pieces.

Nice use of the template too!

Gert, I think you're doing an awesome job. . . but why do you bother cutting a straight edge with a router when that edge is going to be buried in a fillet when the bulkhead is tabbed to the hull? I don't understand the necessity of that perfect edge in this case. Isn't the skilsaw cut good enough here?

Ssshhhh he's practicing for when that bulkhead is raised panel mahogany and he has to fit it to a solid wood clinker, fastened to cleats with oval head slotted SB screws. . .
