My brother-in-law is looking at an older[1960's]Silver Star wood boat about 17 ft.Powered by an outboard. He has been unable to find any info about it before buying it so I volunteered to help. So far I have not had any luck on the internet searches I have done.Any help or links would be appreciated.
P.S. the serial number is 7180 if that helps
Alan:
Coronet made this 16' outboard in the 1950's. It is referred to as a convertible, but may have had a model name of Silver Star, because in later years, Coronet made Silver Stars in larger formats.

Coronet, by the way, was made by Botved Boats A/S in Denmark.

The only other Silver Stars I know of are a line of pontoon boats, and a 32' houseboat plan from Duckworks.
