If you would like it to climb straight up, yes. I think the thrust to weight ratio is there.

Better yet, just mount a saddle on it just like Major Kong in Dr. Strangelove.

Yeah, perhaps a little corrosion Lew, tough to tell from the outside. But hey, a little corrosion on the fan blades is better than corrosion on cylinder walls and valves. Just fire it up, throw some chaff or walnut shells through, and things are hunky-dory :) Although I would stand away from the plane of rotation. Or the front. Or the back.

Oh yeah, turbo-SHAFTS have those, don't they. Ahhh, the gearcase was full of oil, right? Maybe? Hope? How much corrosion could there be? :eek:
