hey no fare leading off with mermaids.:) Lordy i love the way the chief takush looks, she always did cut a fine figure. thats a troller i would love to get my hands on sweet old girl. I see she has seine gear on still.

nice double ender.
it makes my blood boil to see those old fishing boats rotting away.

Talking about mermaids, here is my figurehead...
Hand carved in Germany from a solid stick of mahogony.. weighs about 130 lbs and is about 48" high...

nice lookin lady. the sculptor did a fin job on that one.

I do like the use of the rings and grain for definition and high lites.

must have cost a pretty penny. who's it by?

The mermaid was carved by a lady I only know as "Winger". I paid just shy of 3 grand for her but I wouldn't sell her for any price.
