Hi all,
I'm going through some details on a shoal draft design, a shoal draft timber cutter (7.5m / 24'7" x 2.45m / 8' 3/8" ), and I'm wonderng about functional cabin sole widths, as the cabin sole width is one of the control parameters for the draft - between 26"-30" is the consideration - I'm wondering how detrimental the narrower width is, especially for standing headroom as opposed to sitting style.

Thanks for your comments,
Sayla

That may be about the minimum that you would want to use....with a heeled boat and trying to stand could get a bit interesting even with overhead handholds.
