Stu... why dont you try the one Jim gave? It may well lead to what your after

Ive looked at the other Lowells in that boatshow list and they have a huge history lesson but no Carol they also built dorys so no hint at lobster boats so my guess is they are not the ones...

So again try that one Jim gave mate.

Subject: Re: re Carroll Lowell?

Thank you for contacting us about our boats. How did
you hear about Carroll, incidentally, out of
curiousity?

The Lowell Brothers, Jamie and Joe, are the sons of
Carroll Lowell, who designed and built many
lobsterboats and "lobsteryachts." (They are also the
great-grandsons of Will Frost, who is considered the
"father" of the Maine lobster hull - the family has
been building boats for more than 100 years.)

What size of boat are you interested in? We have many
designs: all of Carroll's designs, also some by Will
Frost, and some by Carroll's brother Royal, another
prominent designer. We also design new boats, and do
our own modifications of the other designs, to suit
the customer's wishes.

If you would like, we can mail you some materials
about boats within the size range that interests you.
Our current designs go from 21' to 44'.

Thanks again for contacting us. Hope we can be of
help!

Yours sincerely,
Ruth Lowell
Secretary/Publicist/Jamie's wife

Stu-

You may want to check with the Maine Maritime Museum who has a vast amount of Frost/Lowell records given to them by the family. They have some plans -- depends on exactly what you're hoping to find. I can also put you in touch with another of Carroll's sons, Jesse who's off working on his own. He's been very helpful with my Frost project.

Good Luck!
