McGruer Yacht Registry online
In my search for ABLE's sisterships (several Lorne Class sloops still sailing in Scotland), I was introduced to Peter Billinghurst. He has met with George McGruer and others from the defunct McGruer family yard, to begin creating a McGruer Yacht Registry online. The idea is to organize information about the 100-or-so McGruer-designed and -built boats still sailing world-wide. The website would mainly be of use to McGruer boat owners, particularly when restoring their boats.
Peter's draft (brand new) website for this purpose is at http://sule-skerry.info/six.html . You can email him from that website.
THANKS, Jack
