What are the origins of the boats ( lapstrake double enders ) used in the movie "The Fellowship of the Ring" filmed in New Zealand?

If anyone has seen "Lemony Snickets: A Series of Unfortunante Events" (I did last night) and wondered what the runabout was, it is a 1935 22' GarWood triple cockpit.

Thank you Mr Venchka.
I guess I'm not current in my movie viewing habits. Just watched the first episode last weekend, although I read the book in the sixties, and read it to my son as a bedtime story in the eighties.

Hmm there is a big difference between "Oz" (Australia) land and Kiwi land (New Zealand). Kinda like asking a Canadian what it is like to be an American ;)
As for the boats, my guess is that they were brought over by the production team and have no origins in NZ, though I could well be wrong.
