Hi all, In a yard sale book buy I found a loose sheet legal size three view of the lines a schooner 'Kathleen', designed by a Mr. G G Davis, built by The Tampa Steam Ways Co. Can anyone tell me about the designer, the design or the boat? No dates, dimensions appear to be about 51' loa ex bowspirit, 34'lwl, 14' beam and about 2' (yes two) draft. Shows tracjks for main, fore and staysails and genoa I think. No keel indicated other than an extended skeg that mounts the rudder. Presume this is a centerboarder of some kind. If I can figure out how I'll post a scan if there's an interest. Given the shallow waters around here (tampa) this would seem an ideal boat. Just dreaming of course but playing with the idea as a build project. Thanks in advance.

It might be C.G. Davis who worked with William Hand. The Hart Nautical Collection at MIT holds the Davis-Hand Collection. Kurt Hesselbalch, curator, might be able to help you with your information and might be interested in your document.
