Have you been in touch with Mystic http://www.mysticseaport.org/library/manuscripts/coll/spcoll023/spcoll023.html . Another good resource might be Bill Cannell of Cannell Payne & Paige in Camden. He knew Henry Scheel.

I tried Mystic but there was not anything online regarding this design. Thanks for the contact info in Camden , i'll give it a try. There was one example of the 30 that was built by the Penobscot Boat Works in Rockport for Kelso Davis in 1977. I believe it was the first use of the recently (1976) patented Scheel keel. Does anyone
know of this boat or what has become of the Penobscot Boat Works?

Penobscot Boat Works (Penbo) closed down many years ago. After Penbo closed, the shop building was used by the Rockport Apprenticeshop for a number years. Then The Artisan School used the buildings for a year or two after the A'shop moved to Nobleboro and now Rockland.

E-mail the ships plans dept. at Mystic and include as much info as you know to help them narrow their search. They have Henry Scheel's plans but most of what they have (Tens of thousands of drawings.) is not posted on the web.
