Hi this is my first post. Does anyone know of a source for the designs of William Atkin. I am particularly interested in the beach skiff "Hell Diver". Our own John Leather, (author of Clinker Boatbuilding and much more) described it as a motor sailing version of a Sea Bright type beach skiff. Also I seem to recall reading in the "On The Waterfront" section of Wooden Boat, a brief piece by someone who had built a "Hell Diver" extolling the merits of low powered motor craft.
I would be really interested to hear from anyone who has experience of this or similar craft as I believe William Atkin designed more than one of this type.
Merry Xmas to one and all.

Limey,
You might be looking for "Big Surprise" and "Surprise", 21' and 19' LOA. Both are Atkins motor/sail version of a Sea Bright Skiff. The address above will get you there.
