View Full Version : Tiller arrangement for Eun Mara Yawl

I'd appreciate some feedback on a tiller arrangement for an Eun Mara I'm building.
I'm not keen on the "track Rod" design of the origional Minna and the lamminated wishbone tiller has other problems for me. I used to sail naval whalers as a young sea scout and they had a "Montague" rig with a yoke system around the mizzen mast with wires leading to another yoke on the rudder head. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It isn't on a yawl, but I think it might be the answer to your question.

Thanks Les, yes thats just the arrangement I had in mind. I'll make my control lines out of s/s with a quick release arrangement so I can turn the tiller 90o so as to leave the cockpit clear.
