I just noticed on www.glen-l.com (http://www.glen-l.com) a new design they have, a rear cockpit gentleman's racer. It looks good. Is anyone else considering this? I've ordered plans already.

Looks very interesting. Not sure if I lke the deck layout but that could be changed easily. I'm not crazy about the bow design though. I prefer the more vertical look the old boats had but this probably gives a better ride. Hurry up and build it so I can come take a look. You're not that far away from me.
After looking at it again the beam looks a little too wide for the length.

I'm gonna call Glen-L to find out if it, like most of their boats, can be stretched 10%. At 19 feet it might look really good. And I agree about the deck layout, I'm not that pleased with their depiction but that can be made "to suit" as they say.

No photos except for frames set up on a strongback. Has it been built yet?

Building method is cold mold. Gotta be a lot of work (and a lot of epoxy) but bet it'll be strong.

They just released the plans Aug. 20, 2003. I hope that means that Glen-L at least built a prototype.
