I live in tn., I would like to find plans for a jon boat style boat, all the plans I have seen are for boats more suited for big water. I would like a plan for a more square type boat 15ft. or less, plywood construction. If any one has any ideas please let me know. If anyone has any ideas for other boats that would be suited for this area please let me know. thank everyone

You might try a boat originally published in WoodenBoat. I don't remember the exact issue but the title was "Mark's Boat" I think. It was about 14' jonboat and was very nicely done. I've considered this boat myself. Incidentally, the article details the entire construction of the boat over two issues.

Hope this helps,
Dennis

There is the book "The Authentic American Johnboat" by Dablemont.

Thomas Firth Jones' "Boats to Go" has some good garvey designs, which are similar.
