I'm looking for Building Plans for 43 Small Boats edited by Charles Chapmen and F.W. Horenburger 1936.

I was told the book exists but, can't seem to locate it.

I would really like to see the plans for the "Flyer 85" designed by Willard Crandall.

Anyone out there with any idea?

Thanks,

Jim

Do you mean "Flyer, a 91-Cubic-Inch Racer"? This book contains eight different Flyer designs by Bruce N. Crandall and Willard Crandall.

"The Midget Flyer", A New Outboard Hydroplane Designed For Class M Racing

"Flyer, A 1934 Outboard Racer"

"Class C Flyer", A 1935 Outboard Racing Hydroplane

"A 1934 Class F Flyer", New Streamlined Outboard Racer For Classes F And X

"Flyer Racing Runabout", A Modern Design Outboard Runabout For Racing In Classes C, E And F

"The Flyer Utility Runabout", An Outboard Runabout Suitable For Motors Of Any Size

"Flyer- A 91 Cubic Inch Racer", A New Design Inboard Hydroplane

"Flyer, A 135 Cu. In. Class Hydroplane"

I don't know how your library system works but several years ago the LA County Library was able to search and found me a copy of The Rudders Build a boat series number 7 full of Hacker plans with offsets. All it cost me was $3.50 in postage for a three week loan from a library in Michigan. Go see your local library, you may be surprised.

I checked out a copy of the book from the Seattle Public Library about a year ago, they had three copies. If you still have trouble finding what you are looking for I made copies of most of the plans/discussions in the book and would gladly fax you copies. Good luck.

You guys are the best!!!
Thanks for the info and the link.
I hope to build the 16' model with the inboard. When I get a copy of the plans, I'll know for sure.

I'll also keep you posted.

Thanks for the fax! I can't see why I couldn't use marine-ply that was sealed with epoxy for the bottom and mahogany planking for the sides and decks.
The power calls for a 91 Gray Blue Streak Jr., a Universal Blude Jacket 99 or a Gray light Four high speed 75 cubic inch.

Now..., which modern motor to use?

Any suggestions?
