Hey Captain,
I see you are still in love with that boat!
In my research I did find that MAIB had two articles about JD Little...
http://www.messingaboutinboats.com/archive.html
I haven't gotten around to ordering those yet, but they may have some information.
Someone else also wrote to me asking for some information, and I sent him two files.
One was a contract for someone elses boat, and the other was a copy of a full page ad for Mile Creek Boat Shop.
I can send both of those to you maybe Wednesday night.
I also have a photocopy of the contract for my boat, built in 1989, which may list an old phone number. I will have to root around and find that copy.
If you end up searching google for "John D. Little" you will see that suprisingly this is quite a common name.

You'll note that one of the articles about Little was written by Bob Hicks, editor of MAIB. Might be worth calling or writing to see if Bob knows anything.

I haven't given up yet folks...
Ken, Thanks!! Anything you can send me would be a great help and well appreciated.
Steve... I'll give that a shot as well.
The U.S. Coast Gaurd lists Mile Creek Boat Shop as NO LONGER IN OPERATION, but that's about the ONLY thing I've found Googling things.
John D retired quite a few years ago. A friend interviewed him in the mid-late 90's when JD claimed he had just finished his last boat.
My recollection is that the boats were built by eye, there were/are no plans. They were built using a couple of molds, which were adjusted to suit each new boat. If you've spent a lifetime developing something, there is no need of drawings; it's all in your head.
All the best, Tad

Just found this by googling:
"John Little" lyme
http://www.mesothelioma.com/mesothelioma_profile_little.htm
It seems John passed away in 2001, from cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

A short thread on the CBA board, with maybe one lead to P.Hutchinson as a source of informtation.
