K.Aage Nielsen Designs ???

Can any tell me where I can find the designs of K.Aage Neilsen out of Denmark. I a saw one of his boats in a publication on wooden boats.(small double ender)

As I recall, Neilsen once worked with Sparkman & Stephens. I understand that all S&S designs are now at Mystic Seaport Museum, so it might be worthwhile getting in touch with them.

My understanding is that his work is at the Peabody Museum in Salem Mass. I believe the family still retains control over any distribution of his work and must appprove any request.

That is correct Dave. Before S&S, he worked for Alden. In WoodenBoat #133, Nov/Dec 1996, Pp 46&47, there is a list of plans with numbers, showing where the plans are held, S&S or Alden, with the balance held by the Peabody/Essex in Salem, MA.

I saw the Tivoli, a precious 20'+/- Nielsen sloop hauled out for rebuilding this weekend. The guy doing the rebuilding has retained every part removed for patterns and has a complete set of the original plans for redoing the needed work.
