I'm researching John Atkins "Maid Of Endor" as a possible project. "The Boatman" magazine, No. 10, page 60, has a write-up on this boat. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this article, or how I can order a back-issue of the magazine?

Thanks

Pete Greenfield was the publisher of the Boatman, and now publishes Watercraft magazine. In addition to checking their web site, which a search engine ought to be able to locate for you, you could try e-mailing watercraft@netmatters.co.uk.

Good luck!

When "The Boatman" went belly up, it was bought by "Classic Boat" (UK)

Isn't she in one of the WB 30, 40, 50 Woodenboats you can build series? I remember looking at her and thinking that it'll be awhile before I have the skills to tackle her. But in my mind, she'd be a boat I'd never part with.

Good luck on the project. I hope you build her and share the pictures with us!

MAID OF ENDOR was written up in "Forty Wooden Boats," published by WoodenBoat in 1995. The design was also studied by Mike O'Brien in Boat Design Quarterly (No. 6)--also in a design review in WB No. 59.

Ian

Thanks for the offer. I have the info from Wooden Boat, but am looking for a picture or 2 of a finished Maid Of Endor. If you have any, perhaps you could scan them and include them on-line via this Forum, as there may be others who would also like to see what she looks like complete. Again, thanks for your response.
