The pictures aren't great, but perhaps you can see the very thin crack/check in the second picture. It's parallel to the bottom, and in the left lower corner. There are several of them in this area.

Running the line end to end on the right shows a max variation of about 1/4", on the left about 1/8". On the bias shown, about 1/8", and on the other about 1/4". I've got 3/4" to play with in thickness, to these issues don't appear to be show stoppers. The other issue, however, depending on how things can be laid out, could prove awkward at least. Hopefully tomorrow I'll roust a few locals and turn it over to have a look at the other side, and give it a dose of "secret sauce".
