Does anyone know anything about this desigh? I believe it's an R.D. Culler design, but would like to know more. Any information would be appreciated

Yep, It looks like the scow periauger ketch. I think Burke's book of Pete Culler designes is in our library here. Want me to look?

Yep, definitely Culler. I'll look in Burke tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it. BTW that's a very good book if you can find one. It's out of print, pretty uncommon, and likely to be fairly expensive, but perhaps worth it if you reallike Pete Culler's boats. I just did a quick search on my favorite used book site (http://used.addall.com/) and got two hits, the cheapest $100.

From p. 213-5 of Burke, which shows the lines, profile and arrangement plans only, with some sections. It's unclear whether offsets and construction plans were completed:
'The first...major design Pete put on paper.'
'Pete designed the little periauger scow to carry it.'
('It' refers to all the stuff removed from his SPRAY by the new owner when she was sold and revamped.)
'But because of her strong feelings for it, Mrs Culler has decided that plans for this design are not for sale.'
(This policy may have changed if the design is in Mystic Seaport's collection.)

Gentlemen,
You've answered my question. I will now be contactiong Mystic Seaport concerning plans and or drawings. I just wanted a little more info before I contacted them to make the seach a little easier for them.
As for the Burke book, I'm aware of it's existence and current status, out of print and over $100 used. Must be some interest out there in the Captn's designs.
Again, thanks all for your replies.

FWIW, the request you want to make is for Culler's "32' Periauger scow schooner", not his "45' Gervais scow schooner".
Let us know if Mystic has them.
Good luck-
