After two years of begging and pleading with the one that took this vessel away from within my sights and within the smell of my nose, and the palms of my hands, it is now back to visit and to stroke its finely polished bottom and its smoothe cheeks of linseed based spar varnish. It responds to my every touch with a twist of its handle and we are allowed to share the cool breezes from the ocean spray together again. smile.gif

Congratulations, I think.

Looks like whoever had her took good care of her.

Its a very sad story indeed. After about two years and average three days a week fishing the owner needed a break. His back needed a rest from heavy roding. It has finally stopped long enough to paint the bottom, and fix a couple of seams in the inside about the motor well before being forced into the fall trout, drum, flounder, seamullet and hogfish arena. :( It received everything it needed before it needed it.

HE-HE. Yea I think Donn I have a little less work than you do to splash this weekend. The 40 lb. drum are eating the sterns out of the boat in the cool of the evening. Got to go offshore sat. for wahoo and plenty of sailfish.

I won't be fishing this weekend, oyster...but I have another boat in the water, and I've been commuting to the yard in it...so I'm still wet!

Nice Simmons, Mike. Tell me a little about how that transom was finished.

Later,
