I also saw a picture of a sweet lobsterboat designed by a Mr. Carney from the Apprenticeshop in Maine. I think it was called a Carney 24. I believe a few of his students built one. This may work nicely for me. Anybody know anything about this? Plans? Spec's? Speed? Displacement? Anything?

Yeah, the Carney 24 is a sweet little boat. Very well proportioned with very nice lines. You can visit the Apprenticeshop's web site to see a few pic's of 'Henry and Theo'.

Kevin Carney also drew up a 22' version that was at the WoodenBoat Show this summer; really lovely boat.
