Rufus 17

Is there anyone who knows where I can see and read more about the Rufus 17, exept the Selway Fisher home page.
Maybe someone who has built the boat?

Post number 1592 on September 29, 2002 on that site was sent in by a fellow from Africa who had built a Rufus 17. He posted some nice pictures of the boat in a folder on the "photos" section of the site. Take a look at them.

It looked like he did a great job of building and finishing the boat, but he had some trim problems. He was using a larger outboard (I think a 40 horse) and couldn't get the boat out of displacement mode, so it was squatting and throwing a big wake when he tried to push it. This sparked a series of posts as to whether the boat was a displacement or semi- displacement design, and what he might do to go faster.

All in all though, the boat looked good, particularly if you'd be happy puttering around with say a 9 or 10 horse motor.
