My son is almost three now and we will soon be transitioning him from his crib into a toddler bed. Prior to his birth, I built him a cradle using the WB publication "The Expectant Father's Cradle Boat Book." However, I cannot seem to find any plans or information for a sailboat toddler bed. I would appreciate any plans, information or pictures anyone may have related to building such a boat bed. Thank in advance.

I don't know about plans for this, but here is a clever boat bed from pottery barn. If you've build a cradle boat, then you can build this. I think they have the dimensions on their website.

I built a one-sheet skiff (plans free on the web--google Herb McLeod one-sheet skiff), cut foam to fit, made a simple stand to keep it from rocking side-to-side, et voila. There was no rigging, but it would be easy enough to add. It's a 7 and a half foot boat, so it's good for toddlerhood and well beyond.
