But it's thursday you say. Not here mate. It's Friday and we aren't going sailing even though the weather looks good. The social director has organised a social occasion for tommorrow. Inconvenient I know, but Easter is coming up( next weekend) and I've just sucessfully negotiated an extended holiday break. Add the 4 days to a 4 day weekend and what do you get... 10 days!!! because you stack the following weekend on as well.

Count me in!.

So we'll be slipping away next friday for 10 days end of season sailing if the weather cooperates.
just like this...( My 6 year old on the helm)

You lucky dog. If things workout for me this weekend, I'll get to spend two full days on Patience, under a canvas cover in 35 degree weather, choking on dust and freezing my arse off.

I can't wait!

I would like to know how you took this great photo. It looks to me like you were standing in the air aft of the boat!

Tom, the answer to the question is "counter stern" LOL.
Very useful things... stick a dinghy on it, lounge on it, put people you want to scare on it. That most recent race at mahurangi, I looked around to check if my crew was ok and noticed some very white knuckles,.... come in mate, plenty of room in here!!.
We used to have deck chairs( when we had room for them) which would get crammed on the thing for an afternoon read....
I spent saturday working on my truck.( the jailbar Ford) Everything was going so smoothly and then... broke down( bust the bendix spring in the starter motor at the local supermarket.) I grunted the thing back up the slight hill, lept into it and bump started in the 10 ft available.Laugh... but I spent most of saturday running around and laying underneath the thing. O JOY.

Next weekend we're off.
