Mahone Bay, NS Wooden Boat Show

I have it on good authority that the Mahone Bay boat show is back on for 2003.

It is, it runs from July 31 to Aug. 03, and you can check out the details at http://www.woodenboatfestival.org/

Not only is it on, it's better than ever! I am the Chair of this year's Festival and we have a great Festival lined up.

There will be lots of boats on display in the water, including at least 6 schooners from the Nova Scotia Schooner Association, a large "static" display on the wharf including a beautiful mahogony planked Bluenose sloop, and a full slate of workshops including one by our own MMD.

On top of all that - live entertainment all afternoon and evening on stage, plus a chance to have an ale or two at the Mug and Anchor pub. All in the picturesque town of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

How can you resist??? ;)

I can't possibly go this year, but I'm marking my calendar for next year. It sounds like my kind of party. Wooden boats! Music! Ale!

It just don't get any better than that.
