I kind of miss the daily reports like we are treated to in the depths of the winter.

At the moment I'd imagine Tobago to be a bit of a Wilma-drenched mess. Doug too, since I think he's down there laying some groundwork this week.

Exactly, but during his mid-winter visits we are blessed with a daily report where we meet all sort of interesting people both local and tourist, visit oodles of local watering holes and get a beach report or two. They are great stories that make you feel like you know the people too!

I hope the establishment of the school is going well.

Tobago is a bit east of Wilma's activity, Alpha may have given them a shower though.

Friday and Saturday were a bit wet, and very breezy...Gusts over 45... But on whole it was mostly sunny. hot, and humid. The constant trade winds make the humidity bearable.
I got a full day's worth of meetings done in just under a week! A new record for efficiency in the Tobago government! I have my work permit application mostly completed (still need 3 photos, and a letter of good citizenship from the police dept.) which was supposed to be done in June.... Now I need to itemize and record the serial number of everything being sent down, so the customs guys can get their payola.
Paul, the "Caribbean saga" threads are posted after I return. I keep a small outline journal while I'm on the islands, and fill in the details from memory on my return... Makes it easier to flash forward and back... ;)

...and all this time I thought it was real time. We figured poor Carter was lugging a laptop all over kingdom come, and you were into some exotic Carribean ISP.

If I was using "TSTT" you probably wouldn't get it any sooner than when I do it this way in any case... I had no idea that "Island time" affected electronic equipment too.... ;)
