Scot... look I know you sit there at your computer all day and night every day and night so I know your reading this as soon as I post it... we all know that so dont try to hide :D ...

Anyway mate I was just over in the building forum and after posting a wee note to Rich about his new widdle wabbit... I got to thinkin... yeah yeah I should be in bed snoring... but hang on a tic! I just want to say something first okay?...

You have one seriously BRILLIANT site here mate! To all at the woodenboat offices... THANK YOU!...

I like to have positive, motivated and motivational people around me and most times I get it...

But here all I have to do is to wander into the building forum and I can freely learn anything from what timbers make ideal keel timbers to whos playin with widdle wabbits... to sails to centreboards to epoxy and 1000 other things in between to give me the knowledge I need to get going and keep going...

If that doesnt work... which it does... but if it doesnt I just take a wander into designs and plans and click through on any of the multitude of links that people post to designs and plans sites they know of... and that works... but then if that doesnt do the trick... which it does... but if it doesnt then into people and places I go... and well theres enough info in there about the various people and places the world over that its flamin well near astounding!

The Resources forum... Ive found totally helpfull from the responses to my few questions and the answers given... and will no doubt be spending a bit of time in there over the coming period... even downunder we have some great members here who know just where to go to get that thing you need... locally or at least without having to send overseas for it... which is as Im want to say... Aweflaminsome!!

Misc?? well what can I say? its got the lot... humor laughter sadness joy politics fishing finbar the church of the perpetually moving tree motorbikes cars svu's planes... and a whole mess of things... its got the lot!

Scot... From this little old black duck sittin here in the mighty land of upsidedownus... I just wanted to say to you fellas and sheilas over there in rightsideupus doin all the leg work at woodenboat to keep this thing goin... you get my biggest vote of gratitude... you're great people

Originally I came in here lookin for just information and possibly a bit of knowledge... Instead Ive found the greatest single source of knowledge, motivation and training available anywhere! And I do mean anywhere!

So I guess that should lead me to the members of this forum who partake and sup at the cup of WBF... youre truely a great bunch of mates! I dont know of a more careing, sharing and friendly mob of people from so many different places, societies and cultures who can share this one small space and get along together... Your natures have really shone of late and youre one hell of a bunch of people... mates... Its my fervent wish that we can all meet one day in person but if we dont for whatever reason then consider the next drink a toast to you...

Now after all that Im hoping your heads are about as swollen as a 40lb watermelon and you need a wheelbarrow to pick it up and you cant get out the doorway so you'll still be sittin there spittin watermelon pips tomorrow when I come back!!! :D :D

Now Im gonna do the right thing and buggar of to catch a mob of zzz before the missus wakes to find me stuck in front of this thing again and all hell breaks loose at the kaos kingdom!

Take it easy
Shane

LOL (as Cleek would say). As that great American linguist SI Hayakawa once said, "To say thank you is to limit one's expression of gratitude." Shane will never be accused of any such limitation. And he's right of course.

This is without a doubt the best forum on the net bar none not just because of the people running it but also because of the people on it.

What everyone said, and more so! This is my favourite web site of all. Exemplary web design, great company, great people, great participants, but highest praise has to go to Scot.

Geez Louise. You gotta stop it. We're gonna lose all credibility here with that kind o' talk. Nobody will believe a few pieces of silver didn't cross your collective palms to say those nice things.

But, it's like Videoguy points out... it's the people ON the forum that make the forum an interesting place to hang out.

Oh, and, um, er, gosh... Thanks!

Very well done, both Scot and Wooden Boat. There are a great many other companies on the internet who could learn from your excellent example, both site and forum.

Just to add my 2.5 cents worth, thanks to all the staff there at WB.

WOW, I just noticed something. If Mr. Scott is member#3, then who could possibly be #1 and 2??
