I managed to work out vacation time so we can spend a couple weeks in Maine. We will be up in the Newport area. I'm looking forward to to the WB show. I know it's early but is there any forum get together there?

I think that starting the discussion of a boat show gathering is a great idea. Last year I saw a few forumites but when it was time to kick back and enjoy a few cold ones, there were only snores to be heard. The bouncer at the pier bar said "all the boatheads drink their Geritol and go to bed by 8:00. If you want some fun, come back next week for the Blues Fest". That prompted me to promise to buy a beer for the first 10 forumites to show up at the bar. What bar?? I don't know but we can work it out.
I lucked out with an invitation to stay on a boat moored right on the channel. Maybe this year I'll have the old E-Bay Elver back on the water and I can stay on my own boat.
Steven, this is in your backyard. What do you say?? Jim

I've got reservations at Camden Hills State park for the weekend so that is where I'm planning to stay. Once it gets closer I'd certainly like to arrange a gathering of forumites during the day, at the show...

Jim, I'm going to be down at the Jersey shore for a big family reunion from the 12th to the 19th. :( I think we drive back to Maine on Saturday. So I might just drive up to Rockland for the day Sunday. There's a chance we'll come back a day early if Mary can't get off work. And Shane (Wild Dingo) will be in the northeast around then and I really want to meet him and his kids. Maybe Joe's BBQ will be while I'm down south. We'll have to fine tune things a little when the time comes.
How's it going with the Elver? Did you see Steve Redmonds' comments about adding ballast?

Bruce, Perhaps we may have enough of us at Camden Hills for additional get together there. I stayed there last year and intend to do so this year.
