Okay. It's Hale's, twixt Fremont and Ballard a stone's throw from the canal, Saturday the 30th, 5:30. And it's P.M. Am I right?
I'm ready to talk tugs! See my post over in Designs...
You got it, Hales 5:30 PM on the 30th in Frelard or Balmont, depending on which way you're coming from. See ya there.

You're on Kermit. If you want to talk tugs I'll see if I can snag Erik and Laura who live on the Newt which is a 20's tug moored over at Jensen Motorboat Co.
See Ya there

Looking forward to it! (And if anybody has some good plans, sketches, pictures or ideas for my keel hung rudder post installation, bring 'em along and I'll be forever in your debt!)

Well, it was certainly a good time putting some now familiar faces with the names/monikers. We had a large enough group that they had to keep moving us to larger tables in more remote locations. Attendence included Mr. Mike, AKA Custom Skiffs; Roger Morris (RGM) and partner Annie Walker, Art Read and wife Cathy (Dang,I don't think I've got that name right) Kermit and lady friend I know I can't remember a name for (sorry!), Ed Nye, Tim Scearce, Terry Etapa, Nicholas Carey, another face I recognize from the Center for Wooden Boats but didn't get a name on (Plimsol?), and myself. Sadly we realized about halfway through that nobody had brought a camera so I guess you'll just have to take our word for this. At the end a toast was raised to Darryl and then a major group took off on a field trip to see the ongoing restoration of the R boat Pirate. Definitely a good night that will be repeated again soon.
:D

I second what Jamie had to say about our get together. It was fun to attach faces to names. It was good to raise a toast to Darryl. It was also nice to meet some of the forumite's better halves who were also in attendance. What a wonderful bunch of patient and supportive women. I believe that Mike, AKA Custom Skiffs was packing a camera and may have taken some pictures while we were busy telling lies and swilling beer. He also took some pictures during a following field trip or two. I also enjoyed seeing the progress on PIRATE. It had been a few months since I saw her last. Nicholas Carey and his partners are doing a fine job on her. I think Custom plans on trying to post the pictures that he took. Lets do it again soon. Thanks everyone, Annie and I sure enjoyed it.

Did anyone else feel a swishing tail and wet nose under the table? I think Finbar may have made an appearance too. ;)

Dang! Wish I could have made it! Just got home awaiting the news. Sounds like it went well. Maybe at the next get-together I can attend!? Drat, again, wish was there!
Glad to hear all had a good time!

That WAS fun! Melinda and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Just wish we'd had more opportunity to chat with everyone there... Next time, we need a ROUND table! My thanks again to the folks at the PIRATE project for the opportunity to see your work in progress and of course, to RGM and Annie for once again allowing Melinda and I to wander, wide eyed, through that wonderful, old shipyard and to see all the amazing things going on aboard VIRGINIA V! ('cept now I want a BIG, old, steam engine to play with, too...)

Custom had some sort of trouble posting the rest of his great pictures on "Imagestation" and asked me to put 'em up for you... Here you go, Mike...
