SWMBO and I spent the morning at Kohler Kraft on Shelter Island in SD for their 15th Annual WB fest. I'll post a few pics now and some more later.

That is just about 5 blocks from this tenement and I have yet in 15 years to go to that show.
Don't ask why, just haven't sigh.

Doc, I thought about you today while I was there.
They said the city has Ok'd Kohler going ahead with a complete renovation of their docks and expansion of the shop.
We had fun.

Dennis Connor spent a million bucks restoring this sleek beauty.

'the Dennis' had a bit of an accident with that lovely thing not too long ago.
Lost some of the rigging to a collision, not his fault.
Nice to see it has been well repaired.
Fellow in the tenement works for DC but is pretty close mouthed about what goes on.
Only time I get some 'inny' type of news is when DC picks him up and I happen to be outside and DC will spot me and chat for a moment.

Yeah; I was kinda wondering what he was up to these days but that whole scene is well outside my scope.
I like well kept work boats and such.
Maybe for a lark you should walk the 5 blocks next year. ;)

That boat the Dennis Connor restored is the subject of a nice story in 185. Thanks for the pics.

I'll remember that for next year! Me and the SO drove down to Coronado, just a ways south of the Naval Amphibious Base, to visit her sister and ex-husband (amicably so). We went for a short sail up to where you make a left turn to hit the Big Water :D Very pleasant. Does get a little busy up there, what with sailboats, ferries, SEAL teams, and guided missile frigates ;)

great pictures of the show. I am curious about those two launches with aft cabin in the 5th picture down from the top. Handsome craft...anyone know anything about them?
Very cool boats at the show!

The launches look like the Zimmer utility launch (plans from WB)

They are the Zimmer design. The one on the right was just launched last month.
